Bridal Shower

Saturday afternoon we had a Bridal Shower for Faith at Troy. Thankfully the weather cooperated even though it was cold. They are getting married on Valentines Day and her colors are hot pink and silver so we tried to use some of that in our colors. We played 4 games. We did a fold over story, a Purse Scavenger hunt, the Price is Right, and What Would You Like To See Faith (the bride-to-be) Do?-- that one brought some laughs. :-) After we got cleaned up then Janae had to go to Kathleen's to try on her bridesmaid's dress that she is sewing for her and I tried on a jacket I wanted her to alter for me. By the time we left I was tired and it was around 7:00 PM. We ordered some pizza on our way home for supper.

While we were at the shower David and Jason went to look at a washer and dryer we saw for sale on Craigslist that we were thinking about getting Faith and Colin. David took some cash out of savings because we didn't know if they'd take a check. He came home and put the savings book and the money--without realizing it--inside the drawer. :-) He went to look at the washer and dryer and as soon he got out of the truck he realized he had no cash. So...he made a trip to Troy to get the checkbook so he could get it and then back again to pick it up! :-) BUT... guess what they did while they were there! See pic. below.

You wanted Faith to do what??

Why are you balancing that cell phone on your nose?

I wish you could see the cake better in this picture.

This is a Bridal shower. What are you guys doing here??

Happenings

Dacia's in-laws invited us to come to Indiana when Dacia and Jason came over New Years. Judy was going to give Tom a surprise retirement party and wanted us to come. A lady that had asked David to preach her funeral passed away the morning we were to leave so we stayed and Dacia, Jason and Janae went on. Anet and her family came up for the funeral and Anet stayed with us. We don't hardly get to see her and we had an enjoyable time. She made us some popovers and beans! :-) David Stoneberger invited us out to supper with his family after the funeral. We had a nice visit. I hadn't seen him in a long time and didn't recognize him at first. Seems like some of us are turning gray! :-( Charlie, Leora and their family stayed at the motel with her dad and came to church this morning. David had Charlie preach and Leora to play the piano. We both had a break! :-) Charlie preached a good message and they came and ate lunch with us.

We're not having church tonight. David started freezing and feels quivery in his stomach. The man whose wife passed away was sick at the visitation and told David yesterday before the funeral that he thought he might have the flu bug. I wondering if David didn't bring it home with him. I sure hope I don't catch it!

I got me another flag this year and David put it up for me the other day.
