Blackwood Brothers
We went with David's folks to see the Blackwood Bros. Quartet at the Calvery Baptist Church in Columbia tonight. They don't sell tickets they just take up a freewill offering. I was thinking I'd seen them there before but I didn't recognize them so I guess I hadn't. I decided not to take my camera tonight not thinking about my blog. I tried to take some pics. with my cell phone but they didn't turn out very good so... I guess I won't post them. Towards the last Jimmy Blackwood said they would take requests from the audience and for them to choose an old hymn. As he was talking the piano player went back and sat by an elderly lady in the audience and put his arm around her. Then he called up to Jimmy and said, "She said she'll take you." He said, "I don't know what you mean," and the piano player said, "You asked for them to chose and old "him" and she chose you!" :-)

I got me another flag this year and David put it up for me the other day.

Chuckle, chuckle, that was cute!
That's hilarious! Reminds me of the little old Mexican lady who was trying to get her US Citizenship. The immigration officials were giving her an oral exam vs. written of some of the questions that she was required to answer before getting her citizenship. Her daughter, standing outside the exam room door, heard hilarious laughter coming from the room and when they finally came out the official told her that they asked her mother where the president lives. Her mom indignantly replied, (in Spanish)"I don't know! I don't live with him!" They passed her on the exam anyway.
